Who Is Sasha?
Sasha Allen is a trans man. He’s 23. I checked, and I checked again (I really don’t know why). Some of you might remember him from The Voice in 2021 as part of the duo Jim and Sasha Allen. I remember having a slight crush — he seemed young, a bit boyish, but undeniably charming. Sasha’s got an inspirational story, and if you’re curious, you can watch an interview about his journey as a trans person here.
Sasha makes music, art, and videos — basically, he creates a lot of noise, the kind of noise that’s sexy. You can find him on TikTok (@sash1e), where his authenticity really shines. He’s also part of a band, find them on Instagram @thatdogband. Whether he’s singing, writing, or creating art, everything Sasha does carries that same loving, inclusive spirit. Then, about a year ago, Sasha popped up on one of my Facebook Reels. He looked amazing, by the way. He was singing this really heartfelt song about how his grandma could accept him — and if she could change her perspective, maybe you could too.
